Road Bike Tire
I am a bicycle enthusiast. I enjoy riding on both mountain trails and paved city streets. I have a different bicycle for each. Although I enjoy both, I would have to say that my favorite thing in the world would be to outfit my machine with a good pair of road bike tire, click it into first gear and set out into the streets for another adventure. Whether it's a trek through the big city or a leisurely expedition down winding roads, it's all just a great way to spend a weekend to me.

I've tried mountian biking and I do like it. But it's more in the way that you would like going to an amusement park. It's great every couple of months, but you wouldn't really want to be thrown around the rollercoaster every day. I wouldn't want to be up on a mountain every day either. I find that it's a big rush to speed downwards, but it's also a lot more work. I have to worry about trees, rocks, and wild animals. There's no reasoning with a hungry bear. And worst of all, my sense of direction is flat out God awful. I still get lost in my own home town from time to time. In my own defense, my home town is Chicago, so it is a big city with a lot of ways to get turned around in. But this is still not the character trait that you would ideally want when travelling though the wilderness.
It's for all those reasons, and probably a few more too, that I most like to put some stress on a good road bike tire as an every day sort of thing. I most often just head out from my apartment, go downstairs, and just get on my bicycle and ride with no real destination in mind. Yes, I do get lost doing this, but I know I can't be lost for too long if I'm still in the city. As long as that road bike tire holds up and I can still peddle onward, it's all just smooth sailing from there.
I do push past the city limits sometimes though. Mostly on the weekends. I venture out past the suburbs and into the open countryside, road bike tire spinning round and round. I do this when I have a little more time to devote to it because I know that I probably won't be back for a while. Those are the best kinds of days, the ones where you can just forget about time in. I love finding dirt roads that I've never been on before and just taking in the scenery and breathing the fresh air. Have road bike tire, will travel, I guess.
I only have time for the big adventures on Saturday. I could probably fit some of those in on Sunday too, but I don't want to be dead-tired at work the next day. I do have a tendency to wear myself out. Such are the dangers of a good road bike tire.
